It's been 2 1/2 years since the chalkboard wall happened in my powder bath {post here}. The wall is now full of inside jokes, song titles, sweet notes from far away visitors, scribbles from 1 year old kiddos and lots of drawings by my 8 year old and her friends. As you can see it's a mess.
Do I erase and start fresh or leave as is ~ thoughts??
xoxo~

Take great pictures of it, then start fresh. Sounds like that is what you are ready for:)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Dikola!
ReplyDeleteIt lokks pretty wonderful the way it is! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Dikola and Jenn- Yes~ I will definitely get some good photos before I pull out the eraser {and the mop!}.
ReplyDeleteCiao, I love your pictures. Of course I'll be a follower by now!If you like, you can come visit my home in country style...in Italy :)

That's a tough one. Love the thought behind the sweet messages/doodles etc but may need some freshening up eventually.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have preserved some special things with frames...
ReplyDeleteI'd give it a fresh start!
Yeah, take pictures with your daughter in them to document her age along with it. I am sure the next chapters written there will be unique also.
ReplyDeletewhat a hard decision! can you take down the whole board and put up a new one? and then start a collection hanging in your garage?
ReplyDeleteI have a chalkboard wall too...but we used paint pens and allowed each visitor to sign their name only (I have teens and who knows what they'll write) ....so it still looks nice and not messy at all! If you want to keep it, that might be an option. I don't like to leave links on other people's blogs but I will send it to you if you are interested...so you can see how it looks! Of course mine is in a kid area.... the playroom.....I don't know if you want to keep that in your bathroom! LOL But you could replicate it elsewhere! It is a nice conversation piece and memory.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that's a hard one! I think I like the idea of taking pictures of it and starting over. Somehow "chalkboard" and "permanent" don't go together. Go for it! xoxo!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree!

Tough call, but you will want to change it sooner or later. There is nothing wrong with a fresh start! Just take photos...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by...!

Definitely take photos...maybe instgram photos and print them out??
ReplyDeletei would def erase it. that's what chalkboards are for! but take a pic for sure. xo
ReplyDeleteThe board is a wn girl!!! Im loving teh small words and jokes and cuteness!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Take a photograph, then erase. It will be fun to see how your daughter's thoughts and sayings change as she grows each year. So Fun! I remember when you initially posted about your wall. I like the picture frames. We have a chalkboard wall too. Totally stealing your idea :)
