Like most of you I'm running around in high gear trying to get last minute holiday prep stuff completed and wrap up projects at work before the holiday break. I've run out of wrapping paper and ribbon and haven't a clue what we're serving for Christmas dinner but I know it will all come together in the end, just like it always does.
This past week has definitely brought a different 'feel' to the holiday season for us. I've been hugging my sweet girl a few {hundred} more times each day and am soaking up each and every moment spent with her {building gingerbread houses, wrapping gifts, studying for spelling tests, watching holiday movies, etc.}, more so than usual. Man oh man they grow up fast! Being in the presence of my little family is top priority right now, as it always should be, but unfortunately it can take a horrible, unspeakable tragedy to stop us in our tracks and remind us to turn our focus back to the things {PEOPLE} that/who really matter. Work can wait, housework can wait, plans for next week can wait~I'm living in the here and now this very second.
With that, I'll be stepping away from the blog for a while in order to stay in tune with the sweet people in my world. I wish all of you the merriest of Christmases and the happiest of holidays. Indulge in the season with those closest to your hearts and souls! ♥
I'll leave you with some *holiday cheer* via snaps from our recent weekend in NYC~
*Here's to health and happiness in 2013*
xoxo,
Tricia

Good for you, taking time for what is most important. This has been such a sad week. I have 3 grandchildren that are 6 years old. I am a pre-school teacher and love children. My heart has been hurting. But we have to move forward and hug those precious children and still mourn those that are with Jesus.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.
